| Sink or Swim brings five new songs of absolutely beautiful, haunting melancholy from Summer at Shatter Creek. The moniker represents one Craig Gurwich, whose captivating, sincere pop music has been crafted onto two amazing previous releases, Summer at Shatter Creek and Semi-Live, on Absolutely Kosher Records. While on Summer at Shatter Creek his lush, airy arrangements and production permeated the membrane that is the ribcage and very easily aided in pushing emotion through, Sink or Swim is an entirely different creation. One could say this EP is “stripped-down,” as it lacks the heavy production of the full-length, but essentially, it lacks nothing.
